Surreal Salon 13

Stephanie Cobb has been invited to exhibit her work in Baton Rouge Gallery’s 13th annual Surreal Salon.

Surreal Salon - the annual exhibition that celebrates the pop-surrealist/lowbrow movement - returns to Baton Rouge Gallery (“BRG”) for its 13th year in 2021 (January 5 - 28). The exhibition, held in partnership with the LSU School of Art and sponsored by Lynne Pisto, will once again aim to feature works from artists around the globe, giving audiences a unique multi-sensory experience with a style of contemporary art not often presented in this region. SUMMER 2020 CSAIR

Stephanie Cobb will be the 2020 Summer Artist in Residence with the Arts Council of Brazos Valley. The residency will conclude in solo exhibition in August.

The Arts Council of Brazos Valley hosts an Artist in Residence program in College Station during the summer months. This program allows the artist to spend the summer working on projects, adding to their portfolio, and preparing for a solo exhibit at the Arts & Visitor Center Gallery. This program is open to current students pursuing an arts degree at a 2 or 4 year college (Blinn College included), or to people who have graduated within the last year. HOME and Crane Arts

Cobb has been invited as an artist in residence the HOME Residency Program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that offers a two week-long immersion in art-making. She will exhibit her work at Crane Arts completed during her residency this Sunday, July 14, 2019, from 2 to 4 pm. Crane Arts is located at 1400 N American Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19122.

The Future Is Now Exhibition

The Future Is Now is a mentorship program that matches JCPS high school students with professional, local artists in Louisville, KY. Over the course of the program, each student/mentor team works towards creating individual and collaborative pieces for a final exhibition showcasing their work. This is a partnership of Louisville Visual Art and KyCAD.

MFA

Stephanie Cobb has been invited to enroll for the Fall of 2018 to the MFA Studio Art program at Louisiana State University College of Art + Design where she will graduate in 2021. She will utilize the program and secured assistantships to further advance her career working in an educational, contemporary institution. 

KFW Residency

Cobb will be attending KFW's Summer Residency Program that offers five artists a week-long immersion in art-making and community building. Feminist social change artists will deepen their artistic practice and consider strategies to expand the social change impact of their work

Burren Residency

Stephanie Cobb has been invited as an artist in residence at Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, Ireland during November and December of 2017 to solely focus on her practice. GBSTD

Cobb worked on the design and execution of the exhibit "Great Big Science To-Do: Everyday Athletes" and is managed partnerships and events for the exhibit at Kentucky Science Center. The "GBSTD" is three series of exhibits that allow the museum to test ideas ideas and find out what visitors are interested in learning about, while the final redesign of the third floor is underway. Cobb's exhibit "Everyday Athletes" focuses on teaching the importance of athletics and health sciences. Partners that Cobb secured include Norton Healthcare, Parkside, Kentucky Derby Museum, Louisville Slugger Museum, Louisville Ballet, Yoga Integrated Science, PPG Industries, Inc., Louisville City FC, Louisville Bats Baseball, and Hwangs Martial Arts.

An interactive UV Experience

Stephanie Cobb has conceptualized and curated a temporary exhibit to combine art and science for Kentucky Science Center's largest annual fundraiser, Science with a Twist.  Collaborating with the group Oh Wow, the team built a fully interactive stairwell installation and sound installation. Guests attending Science with a Twist would tug, strum, or shake colorful shock spool cord which would trigger specific sounds.

BFA Exhibition

The SCAD painting department presents the juried Senior B.F.A. Painting Exhibition featuring works in a range of media by painting seniors from the Savannah location.  Works explore traditional and contemporary methods of painting as well as new conceptual approaches.  The opening reception is free, open to the public, and will be Friday May 29th, 2015 from 3 - 5 pm, at Alexander Hall on 668 Indian St. Savannah, GA 31401.
